The design of this silk scarf and tie was inspired by the vaulted blue and gold arches in Russell Hall at the entrance to the Gottesman Libraries at Teachers College. We studied the shape and geometric arrangement of the arches from photographs and composed the pattern on a very large scale for the silk scarf and greatly reduced it for the tie.
